Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively to address inquiries from current or prospective clients.
- Gather essential information from clients through comprehensive and beneficial questioning.
- Draft, revise, and organize legal documents, including discovery materials, pleadings, and other necessary paperwork.
- Manage medical records: request, review, categorize, and summarize as required.
- Track the progress of each claim and obtain updated information by liaising with healthcare providers, adjusters, and worker’s compensation agencies.
- File legal documents electronically with accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle multiple tasks and manage diverse client needs simultaneously.
- Provide administrative support for various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish for client interactions, mediations, and more.
- 1-4 years of experience in a legal support role, with a preference for those with 3+ years as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
- Open to training in Workers’ Compensation laws and procedures based on the level of experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a team-oriented individual with adaptability, self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, patience, and a strong desire for professional growth.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and must possess U.S. residency at the time of application.
Work Model and Benefits:
- Hybrid work setup with up to 20% remote work possible, depending on experience.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a flexible Monday to Friday schedule.
- Competitive salary, ranging from $45,000 to $65,000 per year, based on experience.
